About the speaker
An experienced information technology manager with over 12 years in the field, Mr. Fournier served, from June 2019, as Director of Information Resources and Head of Information Cybersecurity at the Integrated Health and Social Services Centre (CISSS) of Chaudière-Appalaches. Since 2020, he also held the operational responsibility for cyber defence for the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the province’s health and social services network.
Mr. Fournier played a central role in raising security standards in Québec by supervising and carrying out multiple cybersecurity mandates for organizations of all sizes across the public and private sectors. More recently, during his time at the Treasury Board Secretariat, he contributed to the creation of the Government Cyber Defence Centre of Québec (CGCD), where he participated in developing the operational framework, defining incident response protocols, and implementing interdepartmental coordination processes.*
